The story will also progress through play, with larger scenarios occurring. In the Classic game play mode, the environment this time around will also be more interactive with the option of being able to use some of the objects you come across. The budget and scope of the title has also expanded from the first title, with three modes of game play making up the core experience this time around, expanding on the “one-touch” game play of the first title. The Kickstarter mentions The Song of Ice and Fire to be an inspiration for some of the plot progression we can expect in the title. The Tapping Dead 2 moved out from the urban setting of the first title to the forest, where the characters from the first game escaped too, with the exception of one member who’s now missing. The combination of elements and differences in elements, from game play to graphics aren’t a bad thing however, especially with it being designed to be free to play. The project is a sort of free-to-play, 16-bit Left for Dead or The Walking Dead, but with the added exception of also differing in game play. The game, being developed by 2-man studio Crazy Cricket, intends to take the best of the original and expand and fine tune it’s experience. Like the previous title, The Tapping Dead 2 will also be free to play but will be expanding across all aspects of the previous title whilst continuing the themes and plot of the original.
